Ayurveda is an ancient sister science to yoga. Ayurveda recognizes three forms of pranic or life energy as the basis for health and disease for all people. These are the three doshas (biological humors) Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (water). Both yoga and Ayurveda reflect the Vedic idea that we must live according to our unique nature and its capacities. The type of asana and meditation that is good for one person may prove harmful to another. Just as we should eat right for our type, we should also exercise right for our type. There is no need to know your type to join this class.

Annapurna Darcy DeLyle, an Ayurveda Practitioner LMT, and E-RYT, of her online practice of telemedicine, PurnaVeda, and AyurvedaAwareness.com, LMT, and E-RYT, shares a wealth of knowledge from her many years of experience in the healing world. Annapurna has lived in Maui for four years from Nevada City, CA. She lived in two spiritual communities, called an ashram, for ten years, raising her son there and teaching yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation. Her meditation and yoga practice spans over three decades as a discipline that serves her and everyone she serves. Her Ayurveda practice focuses on Healthy Aging and Longevity to help people find balance through a healthy lifestyle, diet, healthy Agni (digestion), herbs, cleansing, detoxing, and mental health. Annapurna is passionate about sharing the ancient knowledge of the Vedas with people and inspiring them to learn and grow.
