Halfway between coastal Paia and upcountry Makawao, this beautifully reconceived North Shore Maui compound from the sugar plantation era now cultivates wellness, offering yoga, gourmet organic meals, massage, and access to Maui’s best kept secret adventures.
Lumeria Maui is an all-inclusive 24-room property catering to those seeking a wellness retreat in an elegant, culturally informed setting.
In an oh-so-Maui touch, Lumeria’s version can be performed right at sunrise, as you float on the surface of the Pacific Ocean.
The experience incorporates not only a three-hour private horse ride but also well-being techniques such as centering, mindfulness and yoga.

Nearby on the north shore, skilled surfers can brave famous big wave surfing spot Pe’ahi. Or, first timers can take lessons at far less intimidating beaches such as Kaanapali, Lahaina, and Kihei.
Lumeria Maui, a premier wellness retreat in Hawaii featuring luxury accommodations, spa treatments, meeting space, yoga retreats & fine cuisine. The optimal environment to learn and be inspired.
We’re all standing barefoot, among French-colonial antiques and display cases of rare crystals, in the lobby of a former 1910’s plantation-style home for retired pineapple-company execs that has been transformed by a Los Angeles–based interior designer into lodgings worthy of a yogic Citizen Kane.

Lumeria’s activities will get the blood pumping with yoga, kayaking or surfing, and you can recover with a meditation session, a dip in the saltwater pool or a massage.
At Lumeria Maui, a retreat in Makawao, Hawaii, massage therapists use sacred cacao to ease muscle tension and exfoliate skin with an invigorating body polish made of chocolate, coffee and Hawaiian sandalwood oil.
